The Citadel's ombudsperson is a neutral party who helps Citadel cadets, CGC students, parents of cadets and students, faculty, and staff resolve disputes and concerns informally and confidentially. When possible, the ombudsperson will work to settle grievances and seek solutions to problems outside the college's formal problem resolution systems.
You can write or speak to the ombudsperson about these types of issues:
- Workplace concerns and mistreatment
- Learning environment mistreatment
- Sexual harassment, peer harassment
- Hazing, fourth-class system violations
- Informal Advice
- Informational Items
Colonel John Robinson, Dr. Lee Westberry and Major Shamus Gillen are The Citadel's ombudspersons. They can be reached 24 hours a day, 7 days a week by the methods listed below.
